_{[For once it's not Ralph holding the camera. The angle is low and a single blunt claw can be seen slightly obscuring the view. Bossy the Sandshrew has snuck the 'gear out of her trainer's bag for no other reason than to be a little pest and embarrass her failure of a partner as much as she can.]

[A few feet away, Ralph can be seen hunkering over one of the tiny tables outside one of the cafes in Violet. He's got a bowl of hot soup in front of him and is trying his very best to use the pair of chopsticks he's been given to get the noodles from the bowl into his face.]

[It's going about as well as can be expected.]}

Easy does it...eeeeasy does it...d'oh!

_{[The noodle plops back down into the soup and splashes him. He tries again. And again. A dark snicker comes from the camera-mon. On about his sixth try, Ralph finally fumbles the tiny chopsticks and sends one spinning across the cafe patio. There just aren't enough things in Johto designed for Ralphs. He sits and stares furiously at his single chopstick until he catches onto the hushed shrewshrewshrew snickering coming from the next table over.]}

Bossy! Are you--GET BACK HERE, YOU LITTLE RAT.

_{[Cue Blair Witch shaky-cam and eventual filmcut.]}

_{[The response is pretty delayed because there were some Yakkity Sax worthy shenanigans that had to take place before he got his gear back.]}

_{[Ralph moves the 'gear so that Link can see the people behind him skillfully picking up the long tasty noodles with their mystery torture sticks.]}

_{[ANOTHER name he knows. Mother Hubbard, that's the second one this week. Ralph is so weary of being stared at like he's crazy, so he's going to let this be a new introduction.]}

[Yeah, it'd be wise not to bring up that he's a video game character. Wouldn't want the boy questioning his existence.]

_{[That's what Kimblee told him, but does Ralph listen? Nooooooo.]}

Let's see...aboooout. Huh. _{[His face blanks.]} It...can't be almost a year, can it? That seems impossible!

Well, when did you first get here?

_{[Ralph thinks back and suddenly and momentarily disappears as he flips back through his 'gear to see when the earliest thing he saved on it was. Soon he reappears.]}

Sometime in what this place says was February...Sheesh.

[And Link begins to quietly count on his hands.]

So you've been here about ten months. I've been here about five.

It's kinda weird to think about. Time sure flies..._{[WHEN YOU'RE SCRAMBLING TO STAY ON A TEAM OF WRONG-DOERS THAT YOU HATE.]}

So how many pokemon you caught?

Weeeell, I've got five, but Blanca's the only one I've caught. The others were either presents and I adopted one from the sorta dog pound place they had in Goldenrod. He's really old, but he's a good pokemon.
