Level 14 [Video]

--eeeuuck. Finally!

[Ralph holds the gear at an odd angle. He's in a bathroom.]

Look. I'm at the end of my rope, you gotta help me. Is there any way to make this thing less disgusting?

[He brings his other hand into the frame. Stuck to it is a shiny Swirlix. Nelly blinks at the device and sticks her tongue out happily. The little cotton candy pokemon has everything from loose coins to dust to leaves to a desk pen stuck to her sticky cotton candy fur.]

It sticks to EV ER EE THING. I even tried giving it a bath and I think that made it WORSE.

[...Well, whatever France was expecting was not that.]

Have you tried a baking soda wash?

[France eyes Nelly thoughtfully.]

You would probably want to start with dissolving one part baking soda to three parts water. If you think it's working but not strong enough, you can increase how much baking soda.

It might be possible to use a similar vinegar wash, but I'm not sure how that would react with the fact your pokemon appears to be naturally sticky.

[France rubs his chin absently.]

Maybe you should test the baking soda wash on only a small patch of -

[Skin? Fluff? Candy??]

- Your pokemon first, just to make sure it doesn't have adverse affects.

[France misreads the hesitation as one of those "I just remembered manners" moments. Don't worry, Ralph, your secret is safe.]

Oh! Pardon me, I've gotten into a terrible habit of not introducing myself properly. I'm the Republic of France. And you?

[On the scale of reactions France has gotten to what he is, being considered an educational game character is really very accepting.]

[France inclines his head gently.]

It's a pleasure to meet you -

[Wait. Is "Wreck It" a title or...?]

Should I address you as "Wreck It" or "Ralph"?

[France starts to laugh and hastily turns it into a cough.]

Ah, please call me "France." It would be too confusing if others from my world ever come back.

[He shakes his head a little, grinning ruefully.]

It's a pleasure to meet you, Ralph. I hope that you don't have any more trouble than a particularly sticky pokemon in the near future.
