Now this is nice! Reminds me of home only less...square. This whole time we've been on the road it hasn't felt like a camping trip, y'know? A camping trip needs a lake and boy have we found one!

What, so was it just convenient timing? I don't think anyone ever comes here by choice.

[Then again, he is in a similar boat. He just got plucked away before he could actually set sail.]

Convenient is...one word for it. I'm just glad I didn't crash-land here in that space ship and just woke up instead.

Beats me, a while probably. Looks like a nice place!

[That earns Ralph a whiny yelp, but that and the initial jump are the only signs of resistance from her until his words. She pushes back the towel so she can pout up to her buddy.]

I was going to eat some of the gumdrops, too. But it doesn't matter if it's seen as impractical or weird, because... It's what I have from my game, you know? Like you liking camping and stomping in the woods.

You can take the racer outta Sugar Rush, Ralph, but you can't take the Sugar Rush outta the racer.

I did. There was a building, a few trees, a little river, and my garbage dump.

But it's so... unsanitary!

[She's less down about it than she would be alone, so her teasing is still cheerful. Sure, she missed racing, but at least she was on an adventure!

[She can muster a slight smile but that's it. He sounds happy. And there's nothing that kills a good mood faster than the other person bringing up their dead dad. So she doesn't say a word about it. Not that she'd been going to.]}

Seems like a good spot to spend a week or two. Some folks on the gear were makin' a big deal about this place bein' dangerous but...eh. Nothin' ate you, I think it's fine.

Game? Like, the Tetris kind of game?

[Now it's Envy's turn to raise an eyebrow. He's heard people say that this world is like a game from their homes, but that doesn't mean it's a game now.]

Well almost a week if you're not traveling with somebody who likes to WANDER OFF.

Fortunately, I don't have that problem.

My issue is I travel with somebody who likes to hide in a sleeping bag and not go anywhere.

[She pats lightly at his forearm as if to quiet his worries. Just a joke, friend!]

I haven't seen anything dangerous. [Vanellope squints at their surroundings, as if that would make this apparent danger leap out. When nothing does, she shrugs.] What would you think about it if it had more people? And, like, a racing track?

Izzat all? Just loop a rope around 'em and drag 'em up here. The fresh air's good for you!

Well it is scenic...kinda muddy though...but if there were a bunch of people out here it wouldn't be half as peaceful.

[She wiggles her toes into the ground. She hadn't thought of that... After a moment, Vanellope nods.]

Got it! I'll keep looking, then. If I'm gonna be making race courses someplace, it needs to be perfect.

I heard there was a popular farm around somewhere with Miltank. I'll bet they have enough land for a race.

... So it's not all zeroes and ones, then?

I don't actually know a lot about video games, other than what Otacon's played...
