Listen...pal. Listen. Listen.

[The song continues. Envy's also not really into the idea of listening right now. He'd rather sink directly into the ground and never come out.]

[So he does the next best thing to muffle the song: lie down on his face for the second time in two weeks and just sing directly into the asphalt. But soon enough, the song is FINALLY done. BLESSED SILENCE. Envy's still not sure he wants to sit back up.]

_{[Wh-oh. Oh, no, there he goes. Ralph grimaces and starts looking around again before slowly crouching next to the homunculus. When the song finally reaches its end, the wrecker cautiously reaches out to pat Envy on the back.]}

I'm flattered, really. It's not that I think you're a bad guy. It's just--this kinda thing just isn't in my programming. But try not to worry about it, alright? You'll find someone.

[Envy is quiet for about a minute while he tries to make sure that if he opens his mouth, more music won't come out.]

[Finally, cautiously, he speaks. AND IT ISN'T A SONG. THANK GOD.]

That's...okay.

[He could always correct Ralph, now that the singing is done. But if he does...then Ralph might ask who he WAS singing for. And that's a chance Envy can't take.]

Don't worry about it, I'm sure I will.
